Why this role is important:
This is a unique sales leadership opportunity. We seek a founding sales leader to establish our sales function, define the ideal customer profile, develop sales strategy, secure initial revenue, and build a high-performing team.

What you will do:
1.Build the foundation
- Define and refine Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs) across law firms (solo, mid-sized, and enterprise), corporates & in-house legal teams, law schools & institutions, and adjacent professional segments (CA/CS, compliance).
- Identify high-potential markets and focus efforts where return on investment is strongest.
- Act quickly, adapt based on results, and discontinue ineffective approaches.
2.Own the sales strategy
- Design and execute the sales roadmap.
- Test and refine sales approaches, including founder-led to sales-led, pilot-to-paid conversions, and direct and institutional sales
- Develop scalable sales playbooks rather than one-time deals.
- Close revenue
- Manage the entire sales cycle, from discovery and demonstration to objection handling and closure.
- Convert inbound and outbound leads into paying customers.
- Engage with complex buying committees, including partners, deans, and CXOs.
- Secure the first 10 to 50 significant customers and plan the journey beyond it.
4.Build & lead
- Hire, train, and mentor the initial sales team as traction is established.
- Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and ethical sales practices.
- Lead by example, actively participating in sales activities as well as managing the team.
5.Be the voice of the customer
- Provide structured feedback to product and leadership teams.
- Influence pricing, packaging, and GTM decisions.
- Support rapid company adjustments based on market feedback.
Who we are looking for:
1.Experience
- 6-12 years in B2B SaaS / enterprise / mid-market sales.
- Experience selling to trust-driven or regulated buyers preferred (LegalTech, FinTech, RegTech, SaaS for professionals, etc.).
- Proven ability to close complex, value-based deals.
2.Required mindset
- Founders mindset (treats the business like their own).
- Highly self-motivated and outcome-driven.
- Comfortable working in ambiguous and dynamic early-stage environments.
- Creative, adaptable, and able to iterate quickly.
- High integrity, strong communication, and natural confidence.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience selling to law firms, lawyers, or legal teams.
- Prior experience as a first sales hire or early sales leader.
- Ability to balance immediate revenue goals with long-term brand trust.
- Comfortable engaging with founders, senior professionals, academics, and CXOs.
