Head of Quality Control

Position: Quality Head (Electrical Engineering Background)

Department: Quality Assurance and Control

Work Location : Vadodara (Padra), Gujarat

Reports to: VP and AVP Ops and Management.

Job Function Summary

To lead the quality function across the organization, ensuring that all products and processes meet internal standards, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements. The role involves strategic planning, compliance management, team leadership, and continuous quality Innovations Initiatives, must be from electrical engineering background.

Job Responsibilities

1. Quality Strategy and leadership.

• Implement the companys quality vision and strategy.
• Lead cross functional quality Initiatives across production, engineering and supply chain.

1. Quality Management Systems .

• Maintain and improve ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and other certifications.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards (IFC, BIS, CE, UL, etc.).

1. Product quality assurance.

• Oversee, Incoming, In process and final inspections.
• Ensure robust testing of electrical and mechanical components.

1. Supplier Quality Management

• Conduct supplier audits and evaluation.
• Drive supplier quality Improvement programmes.

1. Customer Quality & Compliance.

• Manage customer complaints and ensure timely resolution.
• Interface with customers on quality-related matters.

1. Support in Continuous Improvement activities.

• Coordinate in lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen Activities.
• Latest tools and technics to improve the process quality
• Analyse quality data to identify trends and improvement areas.

1. Team Development

• Built and mentor the high performing quality team.
• Conduct training on quality tools and standards.

Qualification & Experience

• 1. Education: B.E./B. Tech in Electrical Engineering (M. Tech preferred).
• 2. Certifications: Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt), Lead Auditor (ISO 9001/14001/45001).
• 3. Experience: 16+ years in quality management, with 5+ years in a leadership role.

Skills & Competencies

• 1. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes (welding, machining, assembly, testing).
• 2. Proficient in quality tools (7QC Tools, FMEA, 8D, SPC, MSA, 5 Why, Pareto).
• 3. Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
• 4. Familiarity with ERP and QMS software (SAP, Oracle, Minitab is an added advantage).
• 5. Competence in making and giving training for standard operating procedures and policies, along with task check sheets in line with global manufacturing standards.
