Job Description
Role Summary
We are seeking a strategic and execution-driven Head of PR & Media Relations to build and institutionalize QKS Groups global media credibility. This role will own the company narrative, media positioning, analyst visibility, thought leadership amplification, and reputation management across key markets (US, India, APAC, Europe).
Key Objectives
- Position QKS Group as a credible global research and advisory firm
- Strengthen visibility of SPARK Matrix and SPARK Plus in target media
- Build strong relationships with Tier-1 tech, business, and industry media
- Elevate leadership brand (CEO, practice heads, analysts)
- Drive consistent, high-quality media coverage
- Institutionalize crisis communication protocols
Core Responsibilities
1. Media Strategy & Positioning
- Develop and execute a 1224 month PR strategy aligned with company growth goals
- Define key messaging architecture across practices
- Position QKS research as authoritative industry intelligence
- Create differentiated narratives vs Gartner/Forrester-style firms
2. Media Relationship Building
Build strong relationships with:
- Technology journalists
- Enterprise IT reporters
- Business publications
- Regional tech media (US + India priority)
- Secure interviews, opinion pieces, citations, and feature coverage
- Proactively pitch stories tied to research releases
3. Thought Leadership Amplification
- Package SPARK Matrix insights into media-ready story angles
- Convert research into press narratives, media briefings, and commentary
- Position analysts as industry experts for quotes and interviews
- Drive op-eds and guest columns in high-impact outlets
4. Research Launch PR
- Own PR strategy for each major SPARK Matrix release
- Create press kits, executive quotes, media summaries
- Ensure coverage across at least 35 relevant publications per major study
5. Leadership Branding
Build CEO and practice head visibility through:
- Interviews
- Podcast appearances
- Speaking opportunities
- Media roundtables
- Align messaging with company strategic themes (credibility, execution, buyer intelligence)
6. Reputation & Crisis Management
- Develop crisis communication framework
- Monitor media and social coverage
- Manage negative narratives proactively
7. Metrics & Reporting
Track:
- Quality of coverage (tier, audience, relevance)
- Share of voice vs competitors
- Message pull-through
- Analyst citations
- Report monthly PR impact dashboard
Candidate Profile
Must Have
- 15+ years in PR, media relations, or corporate communications
- Experience in B2B tech, research, consulting, or SaaS industry
- Existing journalist relationships in US tech media
- Proven track record of Tier-1 coverage
- Strong narrative-building capability
- Ability to translate complex research into media-friendly stories
Good to Have
- Experience in analyst firms or advisory firms
- Exposure to global markets
- Crisis communications experience
