Head of Operations - Large Tech Startup

We are currently hiring for "Head of Operations" with a large tech startup based out in Bangalore.

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic, entrepreneurial leader to build, scale, and operationalize our India presence for a fast-growing startup. This mission-critical role will involve setting up end-to-end operations from scratchincluding Warehouse, manufacturing Operations, supply chain, logistics, compliance, regulatory affairs, and training operations of the blue collar workfore .

You will be responsible for establishing the operational backbone that supports our training operations, Data Annotation, managing a site with blue collar workers, contractors in India. The ideal candidate thrives in zero-to-one environments, has strong cross-functional leadership capability, and is comfortable scaling teams, systems, and processes at high speed.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the India Training operation strategy that aligned with global business objectives.
• Act as the primary leader for India operations, working closely with Product, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Customer teams.
• Build and scale cross-functional teams across manufacturing, logistics, training, and field operations.
• Lead the complete setup of training and assembly facilities in India.
• Drive vendor development for electronic, mechanical, and automation components.
• Establish warehousing and build robust inbound/outbound logistics frameworks for shipments, servicing, and field operations.
• Implement cost-effective procurement strategies and negotiate with suppliers.
• Ensure supply continuity, material availability, and inventory accuracy.
• Set up internal compliance systems ensuring audit readiness.
• Ensure alignment with Indian industrial, environmental, safety, and related regulatory frameworks.
• Oversee certifications, factory licenses, and policy adherence across all operations.
• Establish and lead training operations for internal teams, partners, and customers.

Build a curriculum for:

• Assembly & testing
• Deployment & installation
• Troubleshooting & maintenance
• Safety and compliance
• Set up training centers, labs, or simulation spaces.
• Drive upskilling programs for technicians, engineers, warehouse teams, and field operators.
• Ensure training scalability to support rapid business expansion across India.
• Own operating budgets, forecasting, cost structures, and KPIs.
• Track performance across manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, and training ops.
• Drive continuous improvement to deliver superior cost, quality, and service outcomes.
• Implement data-driven decisions that enhance operational efficiency

Key requirements:-

• 10+ years exp in managing operations in technology/ EV/ Quick comm Industry.
• Exp of managing large bule collar workforce is a plus.
• Ability to set up things from scratch while managing the entire supply chain, assembly line, logistics, and warehouse setup.
• Exp in setting and managing cross functional operational teams.
