Role Overview
We are seeking a high-caliber Head of Marketing / CMO to lead the global growth engine for our gaming studio. This is a strategic leadership role designed for someone who can manage a diverse portfolio of gamesfrom our flagship battle royale, Scarfall 2.0, to upcoming titles in various genres.
The ideal candidate is a process-oriented leader who can build scalable marketing frameworks (SOPs), drive aggressive user acquisition through performance marketing, and foster deep community roots.
1. Strategic Planning & Portfolio Management
- Annual Marketing Roadmap: Create and oversee the master marketing calendar for all existing and pipeline games.
- Product Life Cycle Management: Tailor strategies for different stagesfrom Pre-launch (Alpha/Beta) to Global Launch and Long-term Live-ops.
- Budget & P&L Ownership: Manage the studios consolidated marketing budget. Allocate funds dynamically between products based on performance, seasonality, and ROI.
- Market Intelligence: Conduct deep-dive research into global gaming trends, player personas, and competitor movements to position every studio product uniquely.
2. Performance Marketing & Data Science
- Scalable User Acquisition (UA): Own the end-to-end UA strategy across Meta, Google, TikTok, Unity, and Programmatic networks.
- Funnel Optimization: Constant monitoring of the full user journeyfrom Impression to Install (CPI) to Retention (D1/D7/D30) and Monetization (ROAS/LTV).
- Attribution & Tooling: Supervise the integration of MMPs (AppsFlyer/Adjust) and BI tools to ensure 100% data accuracy in reporting.
3. Social Media, Content & Community
- Community Cultivation: Build and lead a team that manages vibrant communities on Discord, Telegram, and Reddit. Focus on "Community-led Growth."
- Influencer Ecosystem: Develop a robust influencer marketing engine. Create long-term "Brand Ambassador" programs rather than just one-off paid promotions.
- Viral Content Strategy: Oversee the creation of high-impact video content, trailers, and social trends that resonate with Gen-Z and Alpha gamers.
4. Operational Excellence (The SOP Engine)
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Design and enforce SOPs for all marketing functions, including:
- Creative Production: How to brief, test, and iterate game ads.
- Crisis Management: Protocols for handling server downtimes or community backlashes.
- Influencer Onboarding: Streamlined process from outreach to payment.
- Reporting Architecture: Standardize weekly and monthly performance dashboards for the executive team, focusing on KPIs like CAC vs. LTV, Organic vs. Paid Split, and Retention Cohorts.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Experience: 8+ years in Digital Marketing, with 5+ years in a leadership role within the Mobile Gaming industry.
- Multi-Genre Knowledge: Experience with mid-core/hard-core games (like Multiplayer Shooting/Battle Royale) is a must.
- Technical Stack: Expert knowledge of GADS, FB Business Manager, ASO tools (Sensor Tower/AppTweak), and Analytics (Firebase/Mixpanel).
- Leadership Style: A "Player-Coach" who can build a team from scratch and isn't afraid to get their hands dirty with data.
