Candidate Profile

  • LL.B. or LL.M. with 1520 years of overall legal experience, including a minimum of 10 years in Mumbai real estate matters.
  • Strong expertise in SRA project litigation, Maharashtra Land Revenue Code and Bombay Tenancy & Agricultural Lands Act.
  • Well-versed with RERA regulations and real estate legal documentation.
  • Proven experience in handling legal matters for Mumbai and Thane locations, including drafting, vetting and documentation.
  • Candidates based in Central Suburbs or those with a commute time of one hour or less to Sion will be preferred.

Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinating with in house HODs & with external law Firms, attending conference with counsels for all kind of Legal matters and update Management on each matter.
  • Meticulous preparation of legal briefs, facts and analysis to provide to law Firms, timely preparation and updation of list of dates/synopsis/One Pager/Smart note in each matter.
  • Preparing and finalizing application / reply / correspondence to give it to Police station, Slum Society, SRA, MCGM, TMC, etc.
  • To file Vakalatnama /attend/appear before RERA, High Court, City Civil Court, Small Causes Courts, Magistrate courts, State Consumer, SRA, GRC, Additional Collector, Registrar/Jt Registrar and all other Judicial-Quasi-Judicial authorities etc. in Mumbai & Thane .
  • Independently draft any application/reply/notices, legal notices, letters, responses to various notices from slum dwellers, MCGM, SRA, Collector etc.
  • To read & interpret Land Records viz. 7/12 extracts, Mutation entries, Orders under section 32G & 32M, section 43 of BTAL etc. relating to lands in Thane & Suggest appropriate legal actions to protect the companys interests in these lands.
  • Maintaining Legal MIS, assisting in conducting legal research, follow up with solicitors/external advocates etc.
  • To vet correspondence in cases of potential litigation. Protect legal action against the company by taking appropriate & timely recourse and also to negotiate possible cases for out of court settlement.
  • To remain abreast of latest Judgments, circulars, alterations in the Real Estate Laws and expertise / specializations of different Law Firms & Counsels and coordinate with them for various legal matters of the company.
