The Company is an investment holding company and is part of the TATA promoter group with shareholding in group companies apart from being engaged in incubation / promotion of new business ventures.
- Position Title - Head of Internal Audit (HIA)
- Position Summary - The role holder will lead the Internal Audit function and ensure efficient systems of controls and compliance in all sections of the organisation.
- Reporting
HIA to report to the Executive Director
Functional report to the Audit Committee of the Board
6. Educational Qualification
Chartered Accountant (CA) or ACCA;
Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) (preferred).
Strong academic background with proven expertise in accounting, auditing, internal financial controls, corporate governance, risk management and regulatory compliance.
7. Experience, Skills & Competency Requirements
Minimum 15+ years of relevant experience in internal audit, risk management, controls, or assurance functions of corporates, banks, NBFCs, of which at least 5 years at a managerial level.
Comprehensive knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements, applicable to NBFCs (preferred).
Experience working in diversified business groups/corporates, regulated entities.
Experience interacting with Audit Committee, Board of Directors, and Senior management.
Experience collaborating with Statutory Auditors, Consultants, and Regulators (where applicable).
Results-oriented with strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills with an ability to network and interact at all levels.
8. Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee the Internal Audit Function in alignment with the Companys policies & procedures.
Provide independent assurance to the Audit Committee/Board on decisionmaking, risk management, and internal controls.
Conduct independent evaluations of governance processes and recommend improvements.
Review and assess the adequacy and effectiveness of risk management, EWS frameworks, and internal controls.
Develop and maintain the annual RiskBased Internal Audit (RBIA) Plan based on comprehensive risk assessments.
Assess inherent and control risks across business lines using quantitative and qualitative risk indicators.
Incorporate parameters such as past findings, organisational changes, regulatory and auditor reports, industry trends, audit frequency, business complexity, performance variances, and riskappetite alignment into the risk assessment process.
Define audit scope, objectives and timelines for each audit.
Prioritise audit areas using the Risk Audit Matrix with focus on highimpact risk categories.
Prepare evidencebased, analytically sound audit reports with actionable recommendations.
Present audit findings to management and the Audit Committee/Board and escalate significant issues.
Track and report closure of audit observations to the Audit Committee/Board.
Coordinate with the Chief Risk Officer, Chief Compliance Officer and Risk Committees on risk assessments and mitigation priorities.
Undertake special investigations at the request of Management and the Board.
