YODA focuses on providing prompt medical aid for injured and abandoned animals, rehabilitating those with behavioral challenges, and providing shelter for elderly and homeless animals until they are fit for adoption or release. The organization also actively works on vaccination and sterilization programs to manage the stray population and prevent animal-transmissible diseases such as rabies. Education and awareness are key elements of YODAs mission to eliminate animal cruelty and create compassionate communities.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Sanguem for Head of Finance. The Head of Finance will be responsible for financial planning and analysis, ensuring accurate financial reporting, preparing budgets, and managing financial statements. Additional responsibilities include creating financial strategies to support sustainable growth, analyzing financial data for decision-making, and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Financial Statements, Financial Reporting, and Budgeting
• Demonstrated expertise in Finance and Analytical Skills
• Excellent understanding of financial regulations and best practices
• Proficient in financial software and tools
• Effective communication and leadership skills to manage a team
• Relevant qualifications such as a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA, CA) is highly desirable
• Experience in the non-profit or animal welfare sector is advantageous
