About Our Client

Our client is a foreign institutional investor-backed renewable energy platform with a diversified portfolio of operational and under-construction assets across India. The platform has a strong development pipeline, including hybrid and BESS-backed projects, and operates through a multi-SPV structure.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Finance Controller / Head of Finance to lead the India finance function. This role will oversee complete financial controllership across multiple SPVs, statutory compliance, consolidation, project accounting, and lender reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end accounting and financial controllership across multiple India SPVs
• Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closures in compliance with Ind AS
• Prepare standalone and consolidated financial statements
• Manage statutory audits and ensure compliance with Companies Act, Income Tax, GST, and other regulatory requirements
• Oversee accounts receivable, billing, collections, and working capital discipline
• Supervise accounts payable, vendor payments, and internal control frameworks
• Drive project accounting including CWIP tracking, borrowing cost treatment, and timely capitalization of assets
• Manage reporting obligations across a multi-lender ecosystem, including covenant monitoring and debt servicing
• Build, mentor, and upskill the finance team while strengthening processes and governance frameworks

Requirements

• Qualified CA with 1218+ years of experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, power, or other asset-heavy businesses
• Strong exposure to multi-SPV accounting structures
• Deep understanding of Ind AS and financial consolidation
• Experience in project capitalization and borrowing cost treatment
• Hands-on experience managing multi-lender ecosystems and covenant reporting
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to operate in a high-growth, governance-driven environment
