Role Summary

We are seeking a Head of Finance who will report directly to the CEO and work closely with the broader senior leadership team. You will lead and manage a finance team and function covering four legal entities: India, Singapore, UK and RSA that are used to service two regions: APAC and EMEA. You will have overall responsibility for financial controls, financial operations and financial reporting.

In addition to running the function, the role will have the parallel task of building out and professionalising the function which will include establishing new processes, procedures and controls as well as potential hiring and changes in 3rd party service providers.

Building a high performing finance function within a growth business isnt easy, so this is for someone ready to take on the ups and downs that will inevitably arise along the way.

Role Scope:

1. Core operations: Ensure efficient and effective controls, processes and procedures for core finance operations e.g accounting, accounts payables/receivables, month end, payroll
2. Reporting: delivery of necessary financial reporting and outputs for the CEO and leadership team, Board, Shareholders and internal company communications e.g group and regional P&L, performance vs budget, full-financial year forecast + rolling 6-month forecast, cash position and 6-month cash flow forecast/ to end of financial year, Cash runway (months)
3. Cash Management: Effective cashflow management, including transfer pricing
4. Compliance and Tax: Ensuring tax compliance, statutory filings, and maintaining strong internal controls across various jurisdictions.
5. Team: Drive the performance of the finance team including upskilling, coaching and development of the direct team and effective management of any necessary 3rd party service providers e.g banks, payment partners, auditors, payroll agencies etc
6. Special Projects & Initiatives: Lead high-impact finance projects that will enhance the performance, efficiency and accuracy of the finance team e.g automation, standardisation, training

Skill & Experience needed to be successful

• Qualified accountant
• 10 years working in finance, with significant experience as a Financial Controller or Head of Finance, preferably within high-growth B2B technology, FinTech, or professional services sectors.
• Strong hands-on operator able to build finance functions from scratch
• Able to work in a fast paced, remote working environment (teams distributed across multiple locations)
• Experience with accounting packages like Xero and Fathom
• Experience working across multiple markets across APAC and EMEA (a preference for people with exposure to some or all of India, RSA, UK and Singapore) with associated complexities around Forex and differing accounting practices
• Advanced Excel plus ability to build well formatted reports and presentations in word and PowerPoint

Annual Salary: INR 25 Lakh
