We are partnering with a fintech SaaS startup to hire a hands-on Head of Engineering (India) . This is a playercoach role for a senior engineering leader who enjoys coding, building platforms, and scaling teams from the ground up.

You will work closely with the CEO/Founding team and collaborate with product and customer stakeholders based in the US.

Role Highlights

• Code hands-on on a daily basis while leading the engineering function
• Own architecture, delivery, reliability, and security of an enterprise SaaS platform
• Build scalable, multi-tenant systems, integrations, and workflow engines
• Lead and grow a high-performing India-based engineering team
• Drive strong engineering practices: CI/CD, on-call, releases, and quality standards

What Were Looking For

• 1015+ years of engineering experience with 36+ years in leadership roles
• Strong background in SaaS / product-led companies
• Deep backend engineering expertise (distributed systems, APIs, async/event-driven architectures)
• Experience building secure, enterprise-grade platforms and external integrations
• Comfort working in a fast-paced startup environment and building from scratch

Nice to Have

• Fintech / financial services exposure
• AI-enabled workflows, document intelligence, or data-heavy platforms
• Security & compliance experience (SOC2 / ISO readiness)
