Head of Engineering

We are seeking an accomplished Assistant Vice President (AVP) Engineering to lead our technology teams in building scalable, high-performance digital platforms. This is a strategic leadership role where you will drive engineering excellence, mentor senior talent, and partner closely with product, operations, and executive stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions at scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead multiple engineering teams across locations, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Architect and oversee the development of robust, scalable systems using modern web technologies and polyglot stacks.
• Drive the adoption and evolution of CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automation frameworks to enable rapid, reliable deployments at scale.
• Manage vendor partnerships and coordinate effectively with distributed/cross-site teams to ensure alignment and delivery velocity.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to translate business vision into technical roadmaps and actionable engineering strategies.
• Champion best practices in system design, performance optimization, security, and operational resilience.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• 15+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, including at least 5+ years in senior engineering leadership roles (Director, Head of Engineering, or equivalent).
• Deep expertise in modern web technologies such as React, Node.js, Spring Boot, Django, and other contemporary front-end frameworks.
• Strong proficiency across multiple programming languages and ecosystems: .NET Core, Java, Python, and TypeScript.
• Proven track record in vendor management and leading distributed/cross-site engineering teams.
• Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and scaling CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.), and large-scale automation initiatives.
• Demonstrated success building highly scalable, resilient systems with strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
