About the Role

The VP Engineering will lead the technology organization, partnering closely with the founder to shape and execute the product and tech roadmap. The role combines strategic thinking with hands-on executiondriving new feature development, system performance, platform scalability, and team development.

This is an opportunity to architect and scale a high-impact consumer product while nurturing a high-performing engineering culture.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Leadership

• Define and drive the long-term tech vision aligned with product and business goals.
• Plan and deliver new features, enhancements, and platform improvements.

Team Leadership & Development

• Build, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team.
• Establish strong engineering processes, learning pathways, and leadership within the group.

Operational Excellence

• Oversee system stability, performance, uptime, and reliability.
• Implement best practices across code quality, CI/CD, observability, and incident management.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with product, business, and operations teams to translate ideas into scalable solutions.
• Ensure seamless execution across projects, integrations, and releases.

Requirements

• 10-15 years of experience with 5+ Years in engineering leadership roles .
• Proven track record in building and scaling engineering teams of 30+ members.
• Strong experience working in high-growth startup environments, preferably in B2C product companies with relevant experience in working on high scale platforms .
• Bachelors degree from a top-tier engineering institute.
• Deep understanding of system architecture, performance tuning, and scalable product development.
• Ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on problem-solving and execution.
• Comfortable working full-time from the Bellandur, Bangalore office (5 days a week).
