Role Description

The Head of Department (HoD) role involves leading and managing the departments academic, research, and administrative activities.

Responsibilities include

• Overseeing curriculum development, mentoring and supervising faculty, facilitating research initiatives, and ensuring quality in teaching practices.
• The HoD will be expected to build strong industry relations, promote innovative teaching methods, and manage department resources efficiently to achieve academic and institutional goals.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership, team management, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in curriculum development and academic planning, with a dedication to maintaining educational excellence.
• Competency in research and fostering innovation within the department.
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills to collaborate with faculty, students.
• Prior experience in managing academic departments.
• Ph.D. in a relevant field of engineering or technology is a MUST.
• Published research work in reputable journals and experience in securing research grants.
• Commitment to ethical values, academic integrity

Compensation

• Highly competitive salary (15 to 30 lakhs per annum), based on merit & experience
