Job Description
Role summary: AVP - Brand & Creative is a senior strategic leader responsible for shaping and elevating Grip Invests brand identity, creative vision, storytelling across all touchpoints. This role oversees brand strategy, creative development, content, campaign execution and PR.
The ideal candidate blends strategic brand leadership with hands-on creative direction, strong project management skills, and the ability to inspire cross functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Brand Strategy & Leadership
Develop and evolve the companys brand strategy, architecture, positioning, and messaging frameworks
Establish and maintain a consistent brand identity across all touchpoints
Partner with senior leadership on long-term brand vision, market differentiation, and value proposition Creative Direction
Lead the internal creative team (designers, copywriters, videographers, etc.) and manage external creative agencies as needed
Own creative direction for all major campaigns, digital assets, events, advertising, and product marketing materials
Ensure all creative output is innovative, on-brand, and aligned with business objectives
Content & Storytelling
Oversee development of compelling IPs, cohesive stories that humanize the brand and drive emotional connection
Manage content strategy across social media channels including YouTube Integrated Marketing & Campaign Execution
Partner with marketing, communications, product, and sales teams to develop integrated campaigns
Lead creative development for brand launches, product rollouts, and cross-channel initiatives
Team Leadership & Operations
Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing creative and brand team
Build scalable creative operations, workflows, and systems for asset management and production
Oversee creative budgets, agency relationships, timelines, and resource allocation
Insights & Performance
Analyze brand health, consumer insights, competitive positioning, and creative performance metrics
Drive continuous optimization of creative based on data and testing
Monitor cultural, design, and digital trends to keep the brand fresh and relevant
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Marketing, Design, Communications, or related field
10+ years of experience in brand management, creative direction, or marketing leadership
Proven experience leading creative teams and managing large-scale brand initiatives
Expertise in digital marketing, visual design principles, storytelling, and content development
Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to influence at all levels
Preferred
Experience in fintech / startup
Agency background or experience managing agencies
Masters degree or equivalent experience
