Were Hiring: AI Leader for Airtel Africa Digital Labs (Gurgaon)
IIT | PhD preferred | 12-15+ yrs of relevant experience
What Youll Lead
As the AI Leader, you will define and drive Airtel Africas AI strategy across:
Machine Learning for Loans & Credit Scoring
- ML models for digital lending, alternative data scoring, underwriting & risk optimization.
Computer Vision
- KYC automation, OCR, identity verification
- Retail & field operations intelligence
Generative AI
- LLM-powered automation
- RAG systems
- AI assistants, chatbots & internal productivity tools
Youll lead a team of AI Scientists, ML Engineers, and Researchers, and collaborate deeply with product and engineering teams to take models from research production scale.
What Were Looking For
- PhD preferred (or Masters) from Tier-1 institute (IIT/IISc)
- 1215+ years in AI/ML with 5+ years in leadership
- Expertise in:
- ML, DL, LLMs, RAG
- Computer Vision (OCR, face/document recognition)
- Fraud analytics, credit scoring
- MLOps (MLflow/Kubeflow/K8s)
- Strong hands-on skills in Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow
- Proven ability to deliver AI systems used by millions
