Head of Applications (SAP and Applications)

Role Description:

The Head of Applications is responsible for the implementation and support of SAP S/4 HANA and other applications services This position is operationally responsible for ensuring the availability of application and strategic planning for all applications. overall responsibility for Business process planning and deployment of systems for various departments.

Job Description

• Business process analysis:Lead business process analysis, review plants, and align with SAP standards and factory processes
• Implementation:Manage the implementation of SAP S/4 HANA, ensuring alignment with business processes
• Best practices:Develop and implement best practices to guide critical issues and requirements
• Business modifications:Lead business modifications in various environments, ensuring they meet system requirements
• Support:Support the internal users, implementation, and support of SAP modules
• System solutions:Provide system solutions for complex business process requirements
• Business blueprint discussions:Prepare the business blueprint discussions and design new architecture
• Data analysis:Collate and analyse data from reporting systems to make management decisions
• Lead comprehensive business process analysis and conduct thorough reviews across various plants.
• Develop and implement best practices, guiding critical issues and requirements towards strategic resolutions.
• Drive project scope, quality, time-lines, and budget, effectively leading both internal and external project teams.
• Reporting line - directly to the Executive Management.
• Track-record with end-to-end processes analysis in manufacturing sectors. Preferably in FMCG
• Change management expertise and a strong grasp of organisations dynamics
• Able to collaborate with vendors and have a strong desire to excel.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to work independently as well as a team player and can manage own workload.
• Able to multi-task and work under tight deadlines.
• Must be an effective problem solver.
• Reading and understanding of ABAP code; preferred.
• Working knowledge of other non-SAP areas

Qualifications:

• B.E. / B. Tech / MCA/MBA from recognized institution will be preferred
• SAP Certification will be an added advantage
• Minimum 15+ years of experience in SAP and leading the team
• Should have knowledge on SD, MM, Fi-CO, PP, QM and PS
• Must have at least one full lifecycle S/4 HANA implementation experience (Project Preparation through Go-Live and Hyper care).
