Job Title: Head Medical Legal Regulatory (MLR), Life Sciences

Role Overview
The Head Medical Legal Regulatory (MLR) will lead the end-to-end MLR workstream for the Life Sciences domain at Tag-IN, driving compliant, high-quality creative production and regulatory review services for global pharmaceutical clients. This role requires a seasoned client leader with deep experience managing Top 10 global pharma accounts within Agency of Record (AOR) / Digital Agency of Record (DAR) models.
The incumbent will own service delivery, client engagement, operational excellence, and business growth while ensuring adherence to global regulatory standards and KPI commitments. The role will operate within a hybrid onshoreoffshore delivery model, managing large operations teams and overseeing day-to-day execution across studios, content, and MLR functions.
- Knowledge of developing scientific and marketing materials collaterals, Brand Marketing.
- End to End knowledge of Regulatory Approval process for scientific and marketing collaterals.
- Must have knowledge and experience in end-to-end content production, content strategy, content planning, content writing, content review, creative and digital production.
- Must have knowledge on submission process and regulatory requirements for channel types (Print, Digital, Videos etc.)
Key Responsibilities
Client Leadership & Business Ownership
- Lead the entire MLR (Medical Legal Regulatory) workstream for assigned Life Sciences accounts at Tag-IN.
- Serve as executive client partner for global pharma accounts, nurturing long-term relationships and business growth.
- Ensure delivery excellence across Agency of Record (AOR) / Digital Agency of Record (DAR) engagements covering the full spectrum of creative production and compliance services.
- Proactively solve client challenges and align delivery with engagement goals and evolving needs.
- Maintain strong governance through regular internal and external stakeholder meetings.
Service Delivery & Operational Excellence
- Oversee hybrid delivery model (onshoreoffshore) for MLR, creative production, and digital deliverables.
- Ensure adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and regulatory standards across all projects.
- Drive operational excellence in the creative center business through robust systems, processes, and continuous improvement.
- Manage day-to-day execution across studio, content, and MLR teams for all assigned engagements.
- Ensure compliance with global pharma regulatory requirements for promotional and non-promotional materials.
Strategic & Financial Management
- Own departmental performance including Gross Margin (GM), project profitability, NPS, and ESAT for assigned accounts.
- Contribute to account strategy, growth planning, and service expansion initiatives.
- Develop short-term operational plans and long-term strategic roadmaps for the Life Sciences vertical.
- Support presales activities, due diligence, discovery phases, and new business opportunities.
Capability Building & Innovation
- Establish and scale new service offerings aligned to Life Sciences client needs.
- Build processes, capabilities, and frameworks for efficient MLR and creative production delivery.
- Ensure readiness for evolving industry trends, digital transformation, and regulatory changes.
- Drive continuous improvement in CLM (Closed Loop Marketing) deliverables management.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and mentor a large multidisciplinary team across operations, content, studio, and MLR functions.
- Develop leadership capabilities within the team to execute strategic plans effectively.
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on quality, compliance, and client satisfaction.
- Ensure employee engagement and team development aligned with organizational goals.
Required Experience & Skills
Experience
- 20+ years of experience in Life Sciences / Pharma services / Creative Production / MLR operations.
- Minimum 10+ years managing global pharma accounts using onshoreoffshore delivery models.
- Proven experience working with Top 10 global pharmaceutical clients.
- Prior experience in AOR/DAR engagements for Life Sciences brands.
- Demonstrated success in setting up and managing large delivery teams.
Functional Expertise
- Strong 360-degree understanding of creative production for pharma/life sciences accounts.
- Deep knowledge of MLR processes, regulatory compliance, and promotional review workflows.
- Hands-on experience managing digital creative production deliverables for pharma clients.
- Mandatory experience managing CLM (Closed Loop Marketing) deliverables.
- Experience working across studio, content, and compliance functions.
Leadership & Business Skills
- Strategic thinking with strong commercial acumen.
- Expertise in SLA/KPI management and operational governance.
- Strong client engagement and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in presales, solutioning, and business development support.

Education Background
- Preferably must have a Post Graduate or a Professional Degree (PG / PHD) Dental, Medical, MSc. (specialized in Bio Technology, Bio-Chemistry or Life Sciences related) is an advantage.
