Head Fraud Investigations


Role Summary

The Head Fraud Investigations will lead the end-to-end fraud prevention, detection, investigation, and remediation strategy for the organization. This role is responsible for managing fraud risk across products and channels, building robust fraud monitoring frameworks, leading investigative teams, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements while minimizing financial and reputational loss.


Key Responsibilities

  • Define and implement the enterprise fraud risk management strategy across all business lines and channels (digital, card, payments, lending, etc.).
  • Establish fraud prevention frameworks, policies, and governance aligned with regulatory and industry best practices.
  • Partner with Risk, Compliance, Technology, and Product teams to strengthen fraud controls.
  • Oversee real-time fraud monitoring and detection across digital transactions, payments, accounts, and lending portfolios.
  • Implement advanced fraud detection mechanisms including rule engines, analytics, and AI/ML-based models.
  • Lead complex fraud investigations including internal fraud, external fraud, cyber-enabled fraud, and financial crime incidents.
  • Develop investigative frameworks, case management processes, and escalation protocols.
  • Manage and scale fraud operations teams including analysts, investigators, and risk specialists.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to fraud management and reporting.
  • Prepare and present fraud risk reports to senior leadership, risk committees, and regulators.
  • Partner with Technology teams to implement fraud management systems and automation tools.
  • Collaborate with Product, Payments, Lending, Cybersecurity, Legal, and Compliance teams.
  • Engage with external stakeholders such as payment networks, industry bodies, and law enforcement agencies.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Business, Risk Management, or related field (Masters preferred).
  • 20+ years of experience in Fraud Risk Management, Fraud Operations, or Financial Crime.
  • Experience in Banking, FinTech, Payments, or Financial Services.
  • Proven leadership experience managing large fraud operations teams
