Reporting to:

CTO

Experience:

1015 years

Domain:

Water, Wastewater, Energy, Utilities, Rotating Equipment

We are looking for a Head of Digital Twin to architect and lead asset-centric digital twin platforms for pumping stations, rotating equipment, and utility infrastructure.

This role sits at the intersection of engineering physics, IIoT data, AI/ML, and systems modelling. The mandate is to build living, decision-grade digital twins, not static 3D visuals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Define and lead the digital twin architecture for pumps, motors, VFDs, transformers, pipelines, reservoirs, and pumping stations
  2. Develop physics-informed and data-driven models for:

a. hydraulic performance

b. energy efficiency

c. degradation, faults, and failure modes

d. integrate IIoT sensor data, SCADA signals, and historical data into real-time digital twins

3.Work in close coordination with:

a. AI/ML teams for predictive and prescriptive analytics

b. hardware & firmware teams for sensor strategy and data fidelity

c. Operations teams for real-world validation

4.Enable use cases such as:

a. performance benchmarking

b. anomaly detection and root-cause analysis

c. what-if simulations and operational optimisation

d. Define twin accuracy metrics, validation frameworks, and lifecycle governance

e. Build and mentor a multi-disciplinary digital twin team

Required Background:

  1. 1015 years of experience in digital twin, advanced analytics, or engineering modelling
  2. Strong domain exposure to pumping systems, rotating equipment, or utility infrastructure

Experience with:

  1. Hydraulic and energy modelling
  2. Physics-based and hybrid AI models
  3. Hands-on understanding of IIoT data pipelines and asset data structures
  4. Ability to translate field behavior into scalable digital models

Education:

  1. B.Tech / M.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Energy, or Systems Engineering
  2. Exposure to AI/ML, simulation platforms, or advanced analytics is a strong plus

Why This Role:

You will own the intelligence layer that converts raw sensor data into operational insight and decisions across critical utility infrastructure. This role directly impacts energy savings, asset life, and service reliability.
