About the Team and the Role

The Enterprise Software Team team at Ather is responsible for designing and implementing next-generation digital ecosystems, including MES and Industry 4.0 solutions, to maximize production efficiency.

This role is for a seasoned Digital Manufacturing Architect and hands-on leader who will own the IT-OT convergence and build the future of 2W EV production through advanced solution architecture.

Responsibilities

• Drive and own the overall system and solution architecture for all digital manufacturing initiatives and MES ecosystems.

• Architect the IT-OT integration strategy to ensure secure, scalable, and reliable data flows between plant floors and enterprise systems.

• Lead the long-term Industry 4.0 roadmap execution, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and digital strategy.

• Lead end-to-end MES implementation, from design and configuration through testing, deployment, and Hypercare phases.

• Conduct prototyping workshops to enable rapid innovation, early production builds, and fast-paced testing of new technologies.

• Implement high-integrity IIoT data handling methodologies for secure collection, aggregation, and processing for analytics.

• Steer cross-functional teams across IT, OT, Operations, and Engineering to deliver complex, integrated technical solutions.

• Manage stakeholder communication and influence audiences from the plant floor to executive leadership levels.

Experience and Qualifications

• BE/MS in Mechatronics, Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field.

• 10-15 years of progressive experience in Manufacturing IT, Operational Technology (OT), or Digital Manufacturing leadership roles.

Must Have Competencies

• Expertise in Solution Architecture and owning the technical design of large-scale, complex manufacturing systems.

• Advanced hands-on technical expertise in implementing and configuring major MES platforms such as Siemens, Dassault, or Ignition.

• Expertise in IIoT architecture, including industrial protocols like MQTT and OPC UA, data modeling, and data historians.

• Proven capability in managing multi-site projects and complex relationships with external vendors and technical integrators.

Good to have Competencies

• Direct experience with implementing and scaling AI/ML models within a production manufacturing environment.

• Professional experience within the automotive or auto components industry is an added advantage.

• Functional understanding of the ISA-95 framework for Manufacturing Execution System solutions.

• Ability to translate high-level strategy into practical factory floor reality through deep technical expertise.
