Position: Head Design-Luxury Homes

Location: Mumbai

Position Overview:

As the Head of Design, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and leading the design department of our firm. You will be responsible for managing a team of Architects, BIM specialists, Quantity Survey, Structural Design and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) engineers. Your primary objective will be to ensure the delivery of high-quality, innovative, and sustainable design solutions that exceed client expectations and align with our company's vision and values.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership:
• Develop and implement the overall design strategy in alignment with the company's goals and objectives.
• Provide visionary leadership to inspire and motivate the design team towards achieving excellence in design.
• Team Management:
• Lead, mentor, and empower a multidisciplinary team of Architects, BIM specialists, Quantity Survey, Structural Design and MEP engineers.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages creativity, innovation, and professional growth.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Project Management:
• Oversee the design process from concept development to project completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor project progress and address any design-related issues or challenges that may arise.
• Design Excellence:
• Set design standards and guidelines to maintain consistency and quality across all projects.
• Review and approve design concepts, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and client expectations.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in architecture, BIM, Quantity Survey,, and MEP engineering.

• Quality Assurance:
• Establish and implement quality assurance processes to ensure that design deliverables meet the highest standards of excellence and accuracy.
• Conduct regular reviews and audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Value Engineering: focus on cost reduction and process improvement

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field. Professional licensure or certification preferred.
• Overall experience of 15 years + out of which at least 3-5 years in a senior leadership role within the architecture or real estate industry, with a strong focus on design management.
• Extensive knowledge and expertise in architectural design, BIM technology, Quantity Survey, and MEP engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a diverse team of design professionals towards achieving common goals.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
• Commitment to sustainability, innovation, and continuous improvement in design practices.
