Head – Concrete Engineering

Job Title: Head Concrete Engineering (Foundations & Concrete Towers)

Experience: 15 to 25 Years

Qualification: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory)/ Masters degree in Civil / Structural Engineering (preferred)

Location: Chennai, India

Role Overview:

The Head Concrete Engineering will be responsible for leading, developing, and governing all engineering activities related to wind turbine foundations and concrete tower systems. The role ensures safe, cost-effective, compliant, and optimized concrete design solutions aligned with global standards, site conditions, and project specific requirements. This position plays a strategic role in standardization, innovation, risk mitigation, and lifecycle performance of concrete structures across onshore wind projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Engineering Leadership & Strategy

• Define and implement the engineering strategy for wind turbine foundations and concrete towers across the product and project portfolio.
• Establish design philosophies, standard designs, and technical guidelines aligned with IEC, IS, Eurocodes, and other applicable standards.
• Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and value engineering in concrete design and execution methodologies.

Experience & Skills Required:

• 1520+ years of experience in structural/concrete engineering
• Minimum 810 years in leadership or senior technical roles

Preferred - Proven experience in:

1. Wind turbine foundations
2. Concrete towers or tall concrete structures
3. Large infrastructure or energy projects

• Prior experience in a Wind OEM, EPC, or renewable energy organization is strongly preferred.

Technical Skills & Competencies:

Advanced expertise in:

• Reinforced and prestressed concrete design
• Fatigue and dynamic loading analysis
• Soilstructure interaction

Proficiency with engineering software such as:

• STAAD / ETABS / SAP2000 / MIDAS
• PLAXIS or similar geotechnical tools
• Strong understanding of constructability, cost optimization, and lifecycle performance.
