HEAD (CLAIMS & ARBITRATION) – CONSTRUCTION

Position Title:

GM Contracts, Claims & Arbitration

Company Overview:

Schnell Builders Private Limited is a fast-growing construction company executing large infrastructure and building projects, including assignments for government bodies and public sector organizations. The company is strengthening its in-house capability in contracts, claims, and dispute management.

Purpose of the Role

The Head Claims & Arbitration will lead the companys claims and disputes function, ensuring effective management of construction claims, arbitration support, and contractual risk across all projects.

Key Responsibilities

Lead preparation of technical and commercial claims.

Develop clear project delay narratives and impact analysis.

Prepare structured claim dossiers with chronology, causes of delay, and financial impact.

Act as in-house lead for all arbitration matters and coordinate with external legal counsel.

Oversee EOT submissions, delay analysis, and hindrance records.

Support substantiation of prolongation costs, site overheads, loss of profit, and variation claims.

Establish and maintain a structured claims documentation system.

Guide project teams on documentation and contractual risks.

Identify potential disputes early and recommend mitigation measures.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education:

B.E./B.Tech (Civil) preferred; additional qualification in Contracts/Claims is a plus.

Experience:

1220 years in construction/infrastructure projects.

Proven experience in arbitration-related claims, delay analysis, and EOT submissions.

Experience in government/PSU projects preferred.

Background (Preferred): Senior professionals from top-tier EPC and large infrastructure organizations with strong exposure to claims and disputes.

Key Skills

Strong understanding of FIDIC/GCC/EPC contracts.

Excellent communication and report-writing skills.

Analytical mindset for delay and cost analysis.

Experience working with legal and arbitration teams.

Work Location

To be finalized based on project requirements / corporate office.
