Job Description
Qualification: Bachelors / Masters in Mechanical Engineering
Experience Range: 10 to 14 Years
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Leading a team of 35+ highly capable Battery pack component developers and Cell Developers
- To develop and execute the roadmap as per Organization Vision and Mission
- Resource / Budget Planning and execution
- Enable necessary prerequisites and create roadmap for the Engineers to perform the work effectively.
- To lead change and drive cultural transformation
- To liase with global team including Management in strengthening the Collaboration and technical decision making & representing the team in Global Management/Project Review
- To enable and support in achieving the Competency roadmap for mainstream vehicle e-mobility domain.
- Creating and nurturing the welcoming and open culture ensuring innovation and work
- Accountable for deliveries within time, cost & quality for multiple Battery products by leading & managing respective projects meeting the customer expectations.
- Drive cross functional teams across multiple domains and geographies
Relevant Experience:
- 10-14 Years out of which 7+ years of experience of team handling along with technical guidance on Automotive Powertrain systems development. Good People management skills, stakeholder management, change management, Customer oriented and able to create and execute defined roadmaps.
- Hands on experience in mechanical components development for automotive area along with toolchain knowhow. Basic Experience in Batterypack development. Additional experience on cells, modules etc is good to have.
Responsibilities:
- Good People Management Skills & International collaboration experience
- Sound knowledge of Component development for Automotive Battery Packs. (Casting, Forging, sheet metal)
- Expertise in Mechanical component development including knowhow of simulation and testing.
- Knowhow of Thermodynamic and functional behavior of Batteries
- Ability to set clear expectations and derive results
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to meet business objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement in product development practices, tools, and methodologies.
- Work Ethics and right attitude in driving the execution
- Good Communication and Presentation Skills with effective MS office knowhow
- Open to work with diverse culture and team
- Accountable, Proactive and quick Decision making
- Showcasing Organizational Values (Respect, Team Spirit, Customer First, Elimination Of waste, Responsibility)
- Familiarity with Battery Testing standards is added advantage.
- Open to work in Europe for 6-12 months as per integration need
- Hands-on agile Project management experience preferably in automotive domain.
- Good to have experience of working with global teams.
- Must be fluent in English and should have good communication skills
Good to have:
- German / Swedish language and experience of working with International Teams including international experience
