Head- Admissions | One of the International University Setting up in India

Head Admissions is a senior leadership role responsible for building and scaling the admissions function from the ground up. The role will own the complete admissions lifecycle including student recruitment strategy, enrolment planning, admissions operations, and alignment with international admission standards.

Job Purpose:

To strategically lead the planning, implementation, and management of all admissions and financial aid processes to achieve institutional enrollment targets, attract a diverse student body, and ensure equitable access to education, aligning with the institution's mission and values. Key Responsibilities

Strategic Direction Design and implement forward-looking enrollment and financial aid strategies that support institutional growth, access, and long-term sustainability, aligned with the universitys global vision and India market context.

People Leadership Build, mentor, and lead high-performing admissions and financial aid teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, service excellence, and continuous professional development.

Enrollment Lifecycle Oversight Oversee the complete student recruitment and enrollment lifecycle, from lead generation and applicant engagement through offer management, acceptance, and matriculation.

Financial Aid Administration Lead all aspects of financial aid and scholarship operations, including policy design, regulatory compliance, fund allocation, and the development of competitive aid frameworks to support access and enrollment goals.

Insights, Analytics & Reporting Leverage enrollment data, market intelligence, and performance metrics to inform strategic planning, monitor outcomes, identify risks and opportunities, and drive continuous improvement.

Recruitment Strategy & Representation Direct domestic and international recruitment initiatives, representing the institution to prospective students, parents, schools, counselors, agents, and external partners.

Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner closely with academic leadership, marketing, finance, student services, and other campus functions to ensure enrollment strategies are fully aligned with institutional priorities and academic capacity.

Financial & Resource Stewardship Plan, manage, and monitor admissions and financial aid budgets to ensure efficient, transparent, and responsible use of resources.

Regulatory & Policy Compliance Ensure full compliance with institutional policies and applicable Indian and international regulations related to admissions, financial aid, data privacy, and student records.

Qualifications & Experience

Graduate or postgraduate qualification in any discipline; qualifications in education management, business, marketing, or communications will be preferred but are not mandatory.

1015+ years of progressive experience in admissions, enrollment management, student recruitment, or outreach functions, with a minimum of 5 years leading admissions or outreach teams within a university or large higher education institution.

Demonstrated success in driving student recruitment and enrollment outcomes across undergraduate, postgraduate, and/or executive education programs, particularly in competitive, growth-oriented, or greenfield environments.

Strong hands-on and strategic understanding of admissions and outreach operations, including lead generation, applicant engagement, application review, offer and conversion management, CRM/admissions platforms, and management of school, counselor, and agent networks.
