Role Description

We are seeking a full-time Head Accountant to join our team in an on-site capacity at our Mumbai office. The Head Accountant will oversee the day-to-day financial operations, including preparing financial statements, monitoring budgets, managing financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. Other responsibilities include supervising accounting staff, coordinating audits, analyzing financial data for decision-making, and implementing cost-effective financial practices within the organization.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax compliance
• Strong analytical skills for budget management, financial forecasting, and internal audits
• Experience with accounting software and tools for efficient financial operations
• Leadership and team management skills with the ability to oversee a financial team
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, CA, or equivalent is a plus)
• Ideally 5+ years of professional experience in accounting and financial management, within the pharmaceutical or related industries is a plus.
• Understanding of global financial regulations and reporting standards is an advantage
