Key Skills:

• Must understand the theory and practice of electronic components and circuits
• Must have in-depth experience with digital design with microcontrollers
• Must have some experience designing power supplies with LDOs and SMPSes
• Must understand communication protocols like I2C, SPI, UART
• Must have a working knowledge of memory chips, interfacing, and timing: SDRAM, EEPROM, NOR, and NAND Flash
• Must understand wireless standards: Bluetooth and WiFi
• Must understand Internet protocols: TCP/IP, HTTP, TLS
• Must understand how to read datasheets and understand the performance characteristics of components to make good choices for parts to build a product.
• Must be skilled at using a schematic capture program (any program is okay, but EAGLE and KiCAD are preferred)
• Must be able to understand PCB layout tools to build and validate the design
• Must understand the working of the product to create programming and firmware requirements of the design.
• Should have a working understanding of the mechanical design requirements of the product
• Must be good at written and spoken English and have good communication and teamwork skills, especially in a remote work environment.
• Any experience in the certification, validation, testing, and documentation of hardware products is preferred.
