Hardware Engineer Electronic/Embedded Design for Power converter

Virbhu India Pvt Ltd Vadodara (Gujarat), a wholly owned subsidiary of AK-LLC (USA), operating in the field of power electronics, has as an immediate opening for a Hardware engineer. The position will be involved in new product development supporting the design and launch of Virbhu India Pvt Ltd next generation of cutting-edge products. The position is responsible to design hardware for control and power board for power electronics converters and support in testing of prototypes.

Responsibilities:

• Developing embedded systems for medium to high Power Electronic Converters
• Selection of Microcontroller, Digital Signal Processor/Controllers, FPGAs as per need
• Sensing Circuit, Communication Protocol circuits (CAN, RS485, I2C, etc.)
• Complete Hardware Design & Development of the embedded boards
• Perform testing, troubleshooting, validation (at board and system level).
• Responsible for schematics captures, PCB layout design and check, BOM creation and debugging and testing.
• Create fluent technical documentation including product specifications, assembly instructions, test procedures, etc.
• Work closely with firmware, software, and mechanical team to achieve common goals.
• Participate in product design reviews, own hardware issues to provide solutions either in design or at production.
• Participate in lab development, test automation and productivity improvement initiatives Will be responsible for hardware design, bring up, certification and production release.
• Knowledge in microcontrollers and driver development for embedded peripherals

Qualifications

• BTech /MTech. in Electronics & Communications, Electronics, Instrumentation and Control
• Must have a minimum of 3~5 years of experience working in HW design experience on Digital, Analog, and Mixed signal circuit design.
• Expertise in Power supply design, battery management, ADCs, memories, buffers, drivers, amplifiers, Micro controller design and different hardware protocols (UART, I2C, SPI etc.).
• Experience in Board level bring up and testing.
• Experience in BOM, test plan, test report preparation.
• Hands Experience with Altium, Allegro, Mentor Graphics PADs and CAM350.
• Experience in simulation with LTSpice, PSIM.
