Key Responsibilities:
Product Development and Leadership:
- Design and develop hardware components and systems for our company's products,
ensuring they meet performance, cost, and reliability requirements.
- Design and develop electronic hardware systems, including schematic capture, PCB
layout, and component selection, considering factors such as cost, performance,
reliability, and manufacturability.
- Conduct feasibility studies and research to evaluate new technologies, components, and
design approaches for continuous improvement of product performance and
functionality.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, mechanical
engineers, and product managers, to define and develop hardware requirements and
specifications.
- Maintain clear and open communication with clients throughout the development
process.
- Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to select and source components, manage
component obsolescence, and resolve technical issues during production.
External Relations and Partnerships:
- Lead and participate in design reviews, providing technical expertise and guidance to
ensure design integrity, quality, and adherence to project timelines.
- Develop and maintain design documentation, including specifications, schematics, layout
guidelines, and test plans, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
Technical Expertise and Market Awareness:
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in
electronics hardware design, and proactively apply this knowledge to improve design
processes and methodologies.
Team Management and Development:
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that values camaraderie,
brotherhood, curiosity, and continuous learning within the R&D team.
- Encourage experimentation and exploration of new ideas while providing leadership,
guidance, and mentorship to team members, empowering them to excel and grow in
their roles.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (0-4
years of experience).
- Proven experience in electronics hardware design, including schematic design, PCB
layout, and component selection.
- Strong knowledge of analog and digital electronics, signal integrity, power management, and EMI/EMC design principles.
- Proficiency in using industry-standard design tools such as Altium Designer, or similar software.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards and certifications relevant to electronic hardware design, such as FCC, CE, and RoHS.
- Experience with design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for test (DFT) principles, ensuring efficient production and testing processes.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware design issues.
- Knowledge of embedded systems, microcontrollers, and FPGA design is a plus.
