JOB POSITION

• Carelon Global Solutions seeking a Senior Associate Procurement.
• Associate should support supplier & stakeholder relationship management and partakes in vendor cybersecurity incident management.
• This involves of project management in relation to vendor management, reporting, managing, and helping resolves vendor-related cybersecurity incidents, while ensuring all necessary mitigating actions are taken to reduce the risk of future incidents.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

Responsible for managing the overall - IT hardware Asset management for Elevance Health, The role entails collaboration with business partners, IT peers, and other departments to efficiently procure and track desktop hardware assets Acts as single point of accountability for internal and external business partners.

• Manage procurement and receiving processes for new requests, working closely with internal partners and external vendors.
• Maintain accurate logs and track assets within the Asset Management Repository
• Assist with escalations to resolve issues concerning customers and vendors
• Document meetings and provide recommendations for process improvements
• Generate and manage complex data queries to present insights in a formalized format for departmental planning
• Conduct audits of data, taking corrective actions as necessary
• Participate in enterprise projects centered on hardware acquisition and the development of asset management processes, policies, and procedures
• Lead and manage small projects within asset management, including testing updates to Asset Management tools and new interfaces
• Identify and document opportunities for cost containment, presenting ideas within the department

QUALIFICATION

• A bachelor’s degree in business, Management, or a technology-related field is beneficial, with he/she should ideally possess.

EXPERIENCE

• 2-5 years of experience in personal computing, purchasing, finance, or project management.
• The ideal candidate should have strong project management skills, preferably with some exposure to contract and vendor relationship management. Although not crucial, having some familiarity with cybersecurity practices would be useful.
• Possesses demonstrated experience working with non-it (marketing) Sourcing and Contract management, Vendor Management, and negotiation in IT categories including Hardware, Infrastructure, IT Services, Software, IT Professional Services. Comfortable in speaking with and negotiating directly with vendor sales teams on behalf of Elevance (where applicable).

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• The role requires excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders, balancing priorities based on urgency and risk.
• The candidate should have strong problem-solving skills, able to work through complex situations.
• Certification as a CHAMP (Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional) or CSAM (Certified Software Asset Manager) is preferred initially and required within one year of commencing the role.
• A detail-oriented nature with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently is essential.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required.
