Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Guidewire PolicyCenter Developer with strong expertise in GOSU development and Guidewire configuration. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in commercial insurance implementations, integrations, plug-ins, messaging, and API development.

This role requires strong analytical skills, Agile experience, and the ability to design and deliver scalable insurance application solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain application code using GOSU within Guidewire PolicyCenter.
• Plan, design, develop, modify, debug, and evaluate moderately complex software solutions.
• Analyze existing systems and design logic for enhancements and new functionality.
• Understand integration architecture and interface requirements.
• Create technical design documents for integrations and enhancements.
• Configure Guidewire application components as per specifications using Guidewire and J2EE technologies.
• Develop and maintain Guidewire Plug-ins, Messaging integrations, and APIs.
• Perform code reviews and conduct shake-down testing before delivery.
• Work in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery.

Essential Skills

Guidewire Expertise

• Strong experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter
• Proficient in GOSU programming
• Experience in:
• Guidewire Plug-ins
• Messaging framework
• API integrations
• Batch processes
• Configuration of PolicyCenter components

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of J2EE
• Experience with relational databases (SQL, performance tuning)
• Familiarity with message queues and batch systems
• Integration design and development experience

Domain Knowledge

• Experience in Commercial Insurance
• Understanding of policy lifecycle and underwriting processes

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in computer science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
• 68 years of hands-on experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter development.
• Experience working in Agile environments.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

• Experience in Guidewire Cloud implementations
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Exposure to performance tuning and optimization
• Strong documentation skills
