Role Summary,

ULIO is seeking an experienced Guidance Counselor to mentor high school and undergraduate students through academic planning, profile building, and global university admissions.

The counselor will work closely with students from international schools (IB, Cambridge, CBSE international schools) and guide them in building strong profiles for top universities across the US, UK, Europe, Australia, Japan, Ireland, Singapore, Hong Kong, and India.

This role combines mentoring, strategy building, college application guidance, and student success management within the ULIO Premium program.

The counselor will provide personalized mentoring and structured guidance throughout the students academic journey.

Key Responsibilities

1. Student Mentoring & Career Guidance

Provide 1-on-1 mentoring sessions to students enrolled in ULIO Premium.

Help students explore career interests and academic pathways.

Guide students on subject selection and academic planning aligned with career goals.

Support students in building long-term academic and extracurricular plans.

2. Profile Building & Strategy

Guide students in developing strong extracurricular profiles including:

internships

research projects

competitions

volunteering

leadership activities.

Help students identify summer programs and skill development opportunities.

Assist students in creating structured student portfolios and resumes.

3. College Application Guidance

Provide strategic guidance for university applications across multiple countries, including:

USA

UK

Australia

Europe

Japan

Ireland

Singapore

Hong Kong

India

Guide students through application systems such as:

Common App

UCAS

country-specific application systems.

Support students with:

university selection strategy

application timelines

personal statements

essays and SOPs

recommendation strategy

scholarship opportunities.

4. Test Preparation Guidance

Provide strategic planning for standardized tests such as:

SAT / ACT

IELTS / TOEFL

AP exams

GRE / GMAT (for masters applicants)

Help students develop test timelines aligned with application cycles.

5. Parent & School Engagement

Conduct parent counseling sessions to explain university pathways and application strategies.

Collaborate with school counselors and teachers when required.

Provide progress updates to families.

6. ULIO Platform Utilization

Guide students in using ULIOs platform features such as:

career exploration

profile tracking

university search

application management

task planning.

Ensure students actively use the ULIO platform for structured planning.

Experience

45 years experience in:

international college counseling

student mentoring

admissions advisory

global university applications

Experience working with IB, Cambridge, or international schools preferred.

Knowledge Required

Strong knowledge of university admissions in:

Understanding of:
