We enable robot foundation models, VLA models, and world models by providing end-to-end data services, from real-world data collection to high-fidelity simulation and dataset curation. Why this role matters

This role sits at the heart of Saturn Labs real-world expansion. You will be responsible for building, operating, and scaling our on-ground data collection ecosystem. From sourcing partners and setting up new pipelines to optimizing operations and solving real-world bottlenecks, this is a high-ownership role with direct impact on the companys growth.

Responsibilities

Growth & Expansion

• Identify and onboard new data collection partners, locations, and channels
• Build repeatable, scalable on-ground acquisition pipelines
• Experiment with new growth channels for sourcing real-world data
• Drive geographic and vertical expansion of Saturn Labs data network

Operations & Execution

• Own end-to-end on-ground execution of data collection programs
• Set up, manage, and optimize real-world data pipelines
• Ensure high uptime, quality, and consistency of data supply
• Troubleshoot and solve real-world operational challenges in real time

Strategy & Optimization

• Use budgets strategically to maximize data hours, quality, and efficiency
• Analyze performance metrics and continuously improve processes
• Work closely with product, engineering, and research teams to align supply with technical needs

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

• Build long-term relationships with partners and vendors
• Act as the bridge between on-ground teams and internal tech teams
• Gather on-ground feedback to influence product and process design

Who will succeed in this role

• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Prior experience in operations, growth, business development, or field roles is a plus
• Comfortable working in fast-moving, ambiguous, real-world environments
• Strong problem-solving mindset and bias for action
• Ability to understand and use technical products hands-on
• High ownership mentality - you take responsibility, not just tasks
• Willingness to be on-ground, travel locally, and execute
