Lifecycle Marketing, CRO & Retention Manager



Role overview


This role owns customer retention and conversion improvement across lifecycle touchpoints and the website. The objective is to increase repeat revenue and on-site conversion through structured, data-driven experimentation. This is an execution-heavy role with clear ownership from insight experiment implementation learning.




Key responsibilities


Lifecycle & Retention


  • Own email, app and WhatsApp lifecycle flows end-to-end
  • Segment customers based on behaviour, purchase history, and intent
  • Drive repeat purchases, loyalty adoption, and frequency
  • Continuously improve lifecycle performance through experimentation


Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO)


  • Identify friction points across PDPs, collections, and checkout
  • Plan and run CRO experiments (A/B tests, layout changes, messaging tweaks)
  • Make basic Shopify theme edits required to execute CRO tests quickly
  • Coordinate with design and ops teams to ship experiments without delays


Experimentation & Performance Analysis


  • Use data to prioritise experiments across lifecycle and website surfaces
  • Track KPIs such as repeat revenue, conversion rates, cohort performance
  • Document learnings and apply them to future experiments
  • Maintain a clear experimentation backlog and learning loop


Cross-functional collaboration


  • Work closely with design, ops, and growth stakeholders to align execution
  • Ensure lifecycle and CRO efforts support broader business goals




What you're not expected to do


  • Design creatives from scratch
  • Write long-form brand or campaign content
  • Run paid ads or acquisition campaigns
  • Handle customer support tickets
  • Manage social media or content calendars
  • Build complex custom apps or deep backend engineering




Ideal background


  • Strong experience in lifecycle marketing and/or CRO
  • Proven, hands-on experience executing experiments (not just planning them)
  • Data-driven and comfortable working with numbers and cohorts
  • Familiar with tools like Manychat, WhatsApp platforms, Shopify analytics
  • Comfortable making basic Shopify theme edits (Liquid familiarity is a plus, not mandatory)
  • Ecommerce or D2C experience strongly preferred




Salary & incentives


  • 8-10 LPA , depending on experience and fit
