Job Overview

EFRAC, a QIMA company, is seeking an experienced Group Leader Residue Analysis Laboratory to lead and manage advanced residue testing operations. The role involves overseeing laboratory functions, managing a team of analysts, and ensuring strict compliance with national and international regulatory standards including FSSAI, APEDA, Agmark, EIC, and NABL .

The incumbent will play a key role in method development, validation, and high-end residue analysis using advanced techniques such as SANTE/SANTA , QuEChERS , and analysis of PFAS, PFOS, Dioxins, and Furans , while ensuring optimal performance of sophisticated analytical instruments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Residue Analysis Laboratory team , ensuring efficient and compliant operations
• Oversee residue testing activities in compliance with FSSAI, APEDA, Agmark, EIC, and NABL standards
• Develop, validate, optimize, and troubleshoot analytical methods using chromatography and mass spectrometry
• Implement and supervise SANTE/SANTA and QuEChERS methodologies for accurate residue analysis
• Lead advanced analysis of PFAS, PFOS, Dioxins, and Furans in complex matrices
• Ensure proper operation, calibration, and maintenance of key analytical instruments:
• LC-MS/MS
• GC-MS/MS
• HRGC
• Prepare, review, and approve technical reports ensuring regulatory compliance and data integrity
• Lead and manage regulatory audits and certifications including NABL, FSSAI, APEDA, and EIC
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement , staff training, and laboratory efficiency

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field
• Masters degree or Ph.D. preferred
• Minimum 10 years of experience in residue analysis laboratories
• At least 5 years in a leadership or supervisory role
• Strong technical expertise in:
• SANTE/SANTA & QuEChERS
• PFAS, PFOS, Dioxins, and Furans analysis
• LC-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS, HRGC
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory standards:
• FSSAI, APEDA, Agmark, EIC, NABL
• Proven experience in leading regulatory and accreditation audits
• Expertise in instrument calibration, maintenance, and compliance
• Familiarity with LIMS , data analysis software, and quality control systems
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
