Job Opening for Group Chief Operating Officer (COO)- Ahmedabad Location
Job Location- Ahmedabad, Gujarat
The Group COO will serve as the principal architect of enterprise operations and performance governance across:
Manufacturing & Production
Strategic Procurement & SCM
Quality & ISO Governance
Engineering Execution
Project Delivery
After-Sales & Lifecycle Service
ERP & Performance Reporting Systems
This role carries full operational P&L influence and board-level visibility.
Production:
Achieving production by managing team and making sure to satisfy all India branch offices for timely
delivery.
Handling Operation Heads, team of engineers, production supervisors
Experience of work study, motivating workers & engineers, applying new techniques and working towards
Improving productivity by planning effectively.
Communicate customer issues with operations team and devise ways of improving the customer
experience, including resolving problems and complaints in the shortest possible time.
Procurement:
Experience of hard-core purchase & vendor development is required.
Knowledge of costing of machining & fabrication is must.
Vendor development by global sourcing & enhancing existing vendor quality.
Maintaining stock and controlling it by establishing a system of EOQ, min stock, max stock etc. strong
knowledge of Excel or ERP is required.
Manufacturing Excellence:
Upgrading quality standards to the highest level so that entire machines can be exported back to our
European Partners.
Creating excellence by implementing 5S, KAIZEN, LEAN Manufacturing amongst the group.
Leadership:
Develop systems, implement processes amongst team and inspire team to perform.
Customer support:
responsible for driving superior customer support to business clients through policies, procedures, and setting
of goals.
Project Erection & Commissioning : about 200 projects per year under timeline with the help of team,
Complain Solving : Solving customer complains in shortest possible time by service department, Taking design inputs and finding root cause analysis.
Against every complain take necessary corrective and preventive actions to avoid this complain in future.
Design & Quality Enhancer: Base on service engineers & customer feedback, give regular inputs to design
department and make necessary changes for better quality, zero complains and adding new features.
Experience
20+ years in engineered manufacturing or capital equipment
Led multi-plant operations
Driven & implemented Engineering Excellence like KIZEN, 5S etc.
Experience serving international customers
Proven history of operational turnaround or scale transformation
Exposure Preferred
Automation / machinery / industrial equipment manufacturing
Global export operations
Industry 4.0 or digital manufacturing exposure
Leadership DNA
