Role Overview
As Business Development & Client Servicing Lead, you will drive growth by acquiring new clients, building strategic relationships, and expanding Percept ICEs footprint in experiential marketing. You will act as a bridge between potential clients and internal creative/production teams ensuring that proposals, pitches and eventual executions align with both client needs and Percept ICEs high standards. This role marries sales/business development acumen with event-oriented thinking and requires a deep understanding of the experiential marketing/event management landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Client Acquisition
- Identify and research prospective clients, industries and market segments relevant for experiential marketing, brand activations, events, exhibitions, MICE, etc.
- Generate leads through networking, outreach (cold-calls/emails/LinkedIn), industry events/trade shows, referrals and partnerships.
- Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and influencers within target organizations (brands, corporates, government bodies, etc.).
- Present tailored event & experiential marketing proposals including conceptual ideas, service offerings, past case-studies, and value propositions to prospective clients.
- Work with internal teams (creative, strategy, production, operations) to craft compelling pitches and proposal decks.
- Maintain and grow a healthy sales pipeline; meet or exceed business development targets (new client wins, revenue, project volume).
Client Servicing & Relationship Management
- Act as the first point of contact for clients assigned or acquired understand their brief, objectives, expectations, and deliverables.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, managing expectations, clarifying requirements, ensuring engagement, and ensuring high satisfaction.
- Translate client needs to internal teams (creative, production, operations) and coordinate from brief to final delivery.
- Facilitate contract negotiations, service agreements, rates, budgets, and scope.
- Oversee post-project client feedback, debriefs, reporting, and ensure opportunities for
Market & Industry Insights
- Keep abreast of industry trends, experiential marketing innovations, hybrid/virtual event technologies, design & VM trends, and major industry events.
- Provide insights and recommend new service offerings or strategic direction to leadership based on market shifts and client needs.
- Help position Percept ICE as a thought-leader in experiential marketing; participate in pitches for new event formats, exhibitions, brand activations, etc.
Candidate Profile / Skills & Experience
Experience / Background
- 6 to 12+ years of experience in business development, sales, client servicing or account management level. Preferably within events, experiential marketing, brand activations, exhibitions, MICE or related sectors.
- Demonstrated track record of acquiring new clients/business and closing deals in events/marketing domain.
- Experience in mid- to large-scale events / brand activations / exhibitions will be a strong plus.
Skills & Attributes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, understand client needs, articulate value propositions.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation and proposal-writing skills.
- Good understanding of end-to-end event management, so that you can converse credibly with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Strategic thinking and commercial awareness, ability to spot opportunities, understand market trends, and translate them to business growth.
- Ability to multitask, manage multiple leads/accounts simultaneously, work under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and comfortable preparing structured proposals, budgets and reports.
- Team collaboration, ability to work with creative, production, operations, and other internal teams.
