Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ground Mounted Solar Plant Designer with 45 years of experience in designing utility-scale and C&I ground-mounted solar PV projects. The candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed engineering designs, plant layouts, energy simulations, and supporting project execution for large-scale solar installations.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design ground-mounted solar PV plants including fixed tilt and tracker-based systems.

• Prepare plant layout, inverter layout, string layout, and Single Line Diagrams (SLD).

• Perform energy yield simulations and plant optimization.

• Conduct shadow analysis, row spacing calculations, and tilt optimization.

• Prepare DC and AC cable sizing, earthing layouts, and trench layouts.

• Develop Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and technical documentation.

• Coordinate with civil, electrical, and structural engineering teams.

• Support site feasibility studies and land analysis.

• Ensure designs comply with Indian standards, DISCOM requirements, and grid regulations.

• Provide design support during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

Required Technical Skills:

• Solar plant design tools: PVsyst, Helioscope, SketchUp or similar tools

• Engineering software: AutoCAD

Strong understanding of:

• Ground mounted solar system design

• String inverter & central inverter systems

• Cable sizing & electrical calculations

• SCADA & plant monitoring basics

• Grid connectivity requirements

Qualifications :

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering / Renewable Energy / Mechanical Engineering.

• Minimum 45 years of hands-on experience in ground-mounted solar PV plant design.

Preferred Experience :

• Experience designing MW-scale solar projects (5 MW 100 MW).

• Experience with solar trackers and fixed tilt mounting structures.

• Knowledge of substation integration and evacuation planning.
