Graphic Designer

You’ll be our: CTG Designer

You’ll be based at: IBC Knowledge Park, Bengaluru

You’ll be aligned with: Studio Lead, Industrial Design

You’ll be a member of: Industrial Design

What you’ll do at Ather:

• Work on full-time Colour, Trim and Graphics design projects for products in and around the EV space

• Proactively initiate CTG concepts and explorations that can be implemented as live projects

• Assist in execution of live projects with members of different departments

• Maintain design intent from initial concept to the finished product, with an innate understanding of the project brief

• Have a thorough understanding of design principles

• Have a thorough, deep understanding of brands, brand strategy, brand identity - coupled with an ability to represent and if need be, evolve the parent brand through CTG Design

• Possess extreme diligence to quality and attention to detail

• Set and clearly communicate perceived quality criteria

• Have a base understanding of both soft and hard material developments

• Have the ability to create and prototype 1:1 graphic templates when required

• Support in discovering new resources for materials to aid in enhancing innovation

• Have an interest in, and an awareness of emerging cultural and social behaviours

• Be actively researching, sharing, and implementing new trends and materials

• Support in sourcing and maintaining a comprehensive internal library of inspirational, advanced, and relevant materials and finishes

• Management of personal time with the ability to stick to team deadlines

• Own effective, articulate design communication and decision-making skills

Here’s what we are looking for: 

• MUST be able to work in person at our Bangalore, India studio

• Immediate availability to join

• All applicants must have around 3 to 5 years of experience in the automotive industry as a Colour, Trim and Graphics designer

• Bachelor’s/master’s degree (or equivalent) in Colour & Materials/Automotive/Industrial Design/Visual Communication (or equivalent)

• High proficiency in 2D design and rendering skills - Photoshop and Illustrator

• 3D visualisation skills, possibly with Blender would be an added plus

• Physical prototyping skills

• Great communication skills (visual, verbal, and written)

• The skills to bring unique ideas to the table, think outside the box and 

• The ability to think quickly and problem-solve on the spot

• A positive, team-focused attitude
