If you're interested in computer graphics and working with leading graphics software engineers on Intel's latest GPU/CPU architecture, then our Software and AI Group (SAI) has opportunities for you. SAI delivers Intel's 3D graphics, media, display GPU, and Parallel Computing Technology. We have an opening for a GPU Software Development Engineer who will contribute to the development and validation of software that enables Intel GPUs, with scope spanning the entire stack-from firmware and device drivers to APIs, application layers, tools, infrastructure, and technologies used to develop, profile, optimize, and productize Intel GPU and software solutions. This role involves working across pre-silicon simulation/emulation and post-silicon product phases to validate functionality, power, performance, stability, and debuggability of display and graphics pipelines. You will collaborate closely with hardware and software architecture, design, development, and driver engineering teams to ensure correct feature integration and robust product behavior. Responsibilities include defining validation strategies and test plans, developing automated test suites, executing and analyzing results, driving cross-IP debug, and continuously improving validation coverage, methodologies, and userexperiencefocused performance assessments. Strong communication, problemsolving, and crossgeo collaboration skills are essential, along with the ability to validate driver behavior against design intent, investigate power/performance issues, and provide data-driven recommendations that enhance product quality and platform readiness.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

The successful candidate must have an MS/MTech degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with 7-10 years of experience in software development and validation. Strong proficiency in system level hardware/software product validation, Windows based software development or debugging, and Hands on experience in C/C++ and Python for automation, tool development, or test content creation is required. The role demands experience working in systems hardware/software validation teams, applying project management methodologies within the software development lifecycle, and working with Windows, Android, or Linux device driver architecture, development, or validation workflows. Candidates must demonstrate strong attention to technical detail, data analysis, documentation, and problem-solving skills, along with familiarity with lifecycle processes, tools, and competitive analysis of graphics technologies.

Preferred qualifications include familiarity with graphics and display technologies such as embedded DisplayPort (eDP), DisplayPort (DP) and HDMI, awareness of graphics industry trends, and experience producing software development project indicators.

The group is responsible for developing the holistic strategy for client and data center software in collaboration with OSVs, ISVs, developers, partners and OEMs. The group delivers specialized NPU IP to enable the AI PC and GPU IP to support all of Intel's market segments. The group also has HW and SW engineering experts responsible for delivering IP, SOCs, runtimes, and platforms to support the CPU and GPU/accelerator roadmap, inclusive of integrated and discrete graphics.
