Government Liaison Executive

Role: Executive State Government Liaisoning (Maharashtra)

Role Objective

The Executive State Government Liaisoning will support Jio Universitys engagement with departments of the Government of Maharashtra, state regulatory bodies, and local authorities. The role will focus on operational coordination, regulatory follow-ups, documentation, and execution support to ensure smooth compliance, approvals, and state-level engagement across education, skills, infrastructure, and innovation-related initiatives.

This role will work closely with senior leadership and the Manager/Head Government Liaisoning to enable timely regulatory clearances, inspections, partnerships, and state interactions critical to institutional growth.

Key Responsibilities

Government of Maharashtra Coordination & Liaison Support

• Support engagement with key Government of Maharashtra departments, including:
• Higher & Technical Education Department
• School Education & Sports Department
• Skill Development, Entrepreneurship & Innovation Department
• Planning and Finance Departments
• Urban Development Departments and local municipal bodies
• Act as a coordination point for routine communication between Jio University and state government offices.
• Assist in scheduling, preparation, and follow-ups for meetings with state officials, directorates, and statutory authorities.
• Accompany senior leadership during meetings, inspections, and official interactions as required.

Candidate Profile

• Graduate / Postgraduate in Public Administration, Public Policy, Education Management, Political Science, or a related field.
• 36 years of experience in government liaisoning, regulatory coordination, public affairs, or institutional governance.
• Familiarity with Government of Maharashtra systems , particularly higher education or skill development sectors.
• Exposure to handling:
• State-level approvals and NOCs
• Regulatory documentation and inspections
• Municipal or infrastructure-related clearances (preferred)
• Strong coordination, follow-up, and stakeholder management skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication abilities for official correspondence.
• High integrity, discretion, and comfort working within structured government environments.
