Go Backend Developer

Design, build, and optimize backend services supporting user management, application features, and platform-wide capabilities. This includes identity and profile services, messaging and notifications, and backend performance improvements.

Develop and maintain core backend services such as authentication, user accounts, and profile management.

Build and document RESTful APIs for various application features (e.g., events, polls, or similar modules).

Implement and maintain business logic for user preferences, points, or other engagement systems.

Implement push notifications, email messages, and in-app alerts.

Integrate with common notification providers (e.g., FCM, APNs).

Build simple notification preference and delivery management.

Optimize API and database performance, including query tuning.

Implement caching strategies using tools like Redis or equivalent technologies.

Develop shared internal libraries or components (e.g., configuration, feature flags).

Conduct load testing, monitoring, and performance analysis.

Ensure data integrity, security best practices, and privacy-aware handling.

Write unit, integration, and basic load tests.

Maintain observability and reliability for critical systems.

34+ years of backend engineering experience.

Proficiency with at least one backend language (e.g., Go, Java, or similar).

Strong understanding of REST API development.

Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).

Knowledge of authentication, session management, and general backend architecture.

Familiarity with basic messaging or notification patterns.

Experience with gamification, loyalty systems, or similar engagement features.

Exposure to identity providers (e.g., OAuth-based systems, national ID integrations).

Knowledge of localization, notification templating, or multi-region message delivery.
