Position Details
- Title: GM Sales & Marketing
- Location: Mumbai / Ahmedabad
- Reporting To: Joint Managing Director
- Type: Full-time, Senior Leadership (P&L Accountability)
Role Summary
A senior sales and marketing leader responsible for end-to-end sales and marketing operations, annual operating plans, strategic capacity scaling, and business excellence in the selling of Industrial Valves, Static Equipment & Process Packages. The role demands strong international business development, client relationship management, and execution oversight to drive growth across global markets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Development & Sales
- Identify and develop new international markets in MENA, CIS, Southeast Asia, Europe, and Americas.
- Generate and follow up on leads for industrial valves and related static equipment.
- Review and on time submission techno-commercial proposals, RFQs, and tenders.
- Achieve order acquisition targets aligned with company growth objectives.
2. Customer Relationship Management
- Build and sustain relationships with Licensors, EPC contractors, OEMs, consultants, and end-users.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through proactive engagement and issue resolution.
3. Market Research & Intelligence
- Conduct competitor analysis and track industry trends.
- Monitor international codes and standards (ASME, PED, ASTM, API).
- Recommend pricing strategies and identify opportunities for product diversification.
4. Coordination & Execution Support
- Act as a liaison between customers and internal departments (engineering, procurement, production).
- Support project execution, ensuring timely delivery and resolution of client queries.
5. Documentation & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with international documentation standards, including export documentation, commercial invoicing, and Incoterms.
- Maintain accuracy and integrity in all sales-related records.
Key Requirements:
1. Education
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- MBA in Marketing/International Business (preferred).
2.Experience
- 18-20 years of Hands-on experience in international sales/export marketing of industrial valves, static equipment, pipes & tubes, piping spools, modular skids, etc.
- Last 7-10 years holding senior level position (P&L accountable)
- Proven track record of managing overseas clients and closing high-value deals.
3.Skills & Competencies
- Strong technical knowledge of industrial valves and static equipment.
- Industry exposure in Oil & Gas, Refineries, Petrochemicals, Chemicals & Fertilisers, Steel & Power, and allied industries.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and multicultural client management skills.
- Familiarity with ASTM, ASME, API, and other global standards.
- Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office, and ERP systems.
- Willingness to frequent travel internationally.
