Job Description

Job Location : Jinja Uganda


Reporting to: Chairman & Board of Directors


Qualification: BE Chemical / MBA Operations /any other equivalent degree

Experience: Minimum 15 to 20 years, worked as a GM Ops or as Plant Head in Edibile Oil Mill Plant

Job Summary:


The group also has manufacturing facilities like wax candles, wax-coated matches, bottling spirit, steel, Glucose, Edible oil, Steel Products, Exercise Note book plant and chemicals and has ambitious plans to grow. The group has around 3,000 employees of which 200 are expatriate employees.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage overall production planning activities & quality control work to achieve the targeted production
  • Overall Unit operational functions reduce operating costs & greater profitability.
  • Plan & control factory operational functions (production, quality, maintenance finance, procurement, HR, logistics, sales).
  • Formulate annual budgets for raw material consumption, repairs & maintenance cost and man-hour requirement based on Annual Operational Plan (AOP).
  • Generate MIS Reports for the top management displaying planned v/s achieved performance and highlighting areas for necessary decisions / actions to be taken and suggestions in the form of Corrective & Preventive Action
  • Manage, motivate & develop the team and ensure that they perform to their maximum level to accomplish the business objectives & maintained a high level of operational efficiency.
  • Design strategy and set goals for growth of business.
  • Set policies and processes to attain productivity
  • Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally
  • Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance


Package Structure:

  • Net Savings offshore salary
  • Local Allowance Salary- will include Accommodation Rent, Food, Utility payment (Company will facilitate in finding suitable accommodations)
  • Transport / Commute to/fro - as per Grade & Company policy
  • Medical and life insurance
  • Family Status can be considered only after 6 months.
  • Leave: Once in a year -21 days without ticket, Once in Two year-45 days with ticket to nearest International Airport.
  • Visa, WP and Tickets for joining provided by Company.
