The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
1. Technical Contributions

• Apply advanced level and complex data science techniques to develop rich insights that enable informed data-driven strategies that have high impact:
• Develop algorithms, statistical models, and machine learning applications that generate customer, product, market and manufacturing capabilities.
• Integrate complex data from multiple internal and external sources to create models using internal and cloud data science capabilities.
• Use programming languages and data science and statistical packages/tools/algorithms to translate algorithms and technical specifications into business solutions.
• Work with cloud computing and AI frameworks, data analysis systems, and modeling environments.
• Actively employ external data sources to improve current and potential models, following all data compliance policies and data use standards.
• Create visual representation and derive business insights generated from the data analysis.

2. Strategic Planning

• Contribute to and support the technical and business strategic planning process.

3. Intellectual Property/Leadership

• Mentor other data scientists/data engineers.

How you will make an impact

• Lead initiatives to integrate RPA, AI, and ML into supply chain operations to achieve a touchless supply chain.
• Develop and maintain an automation roadmap aligned with business objectives and scalability.
• Identify and implement RPA, AI, and ML tools for key workflows; run POCs and pilots to validate impact.
• Collaborate with teams to optimize processes and apply predictive analytics for efficiency.
• Define KPIs, drive adoption through training and communication, and act as a digital transformation leader.
• Demonstrate expertise in RPA platforms, AI/ML frameworks, and data analytics with strong supply chain knowledge.

Your Skills and Expertise 
 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree or Postdoc in computer science, electrical engineering, data science, software engineering, machine learning, operations research, statistics, applied mathematics, physics, or other field related to or utilizing data science.

AND

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

• 6-8 years of experience in Algorithm Development or Software Engineering in Machine Learning, Statistics, or Numerical Methods.
• Extensive industry experience in deep learning, machine learning, natural language processing, data science, computer vision, artificial intelligence, statistics, and/or applied mathematics.
• Strong fundamentals in problem solving, algorithm design, and complexity analysis.
• Proven track record in leading, mentoring, and growing teams of data scientists.
• Strong understanding of automation tools and best practices for process efficiency and scalability.
• Proven experience in designing, deploying, and optimizing AI/ML models and automation workflows in enterprise environments.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Certifications in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, such as:
  • Google Cloud Professional Machine Learning Engineer
  • AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate (AI‑102)
  • TensorFlow Developer Certificate
  • IBM AI Engineering Professional Certificate
• Certifications in Robotic Process Automation (RPA), including:
  • UiPath Advanced RPA Developer Certification
  • Automation Anywhere Certified Advanced RPA Professional
• Programming language - Python

Work location:

• Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to Bangalore at least 2 days per week)
