Job Summary

AHZ is seeking an experienced Global SEO Manager to lead, manage, and scale our existing global SEO function. This role is a senior leadership position, responsible for owning AHZs organic growth strategy across multiple international markets and managing a distributed global SEO team.

The ideal candidate will bring strong people-management experience, deep expertise in international SEO, and the ability to align SEO strategy with broader business, content, and organic marketing goals. This role goes beyond executionyou will define direction, ensure accountability, and drive measurable business outcomes.

Core Responsibilities:

Global SEO Leadership & Team Management

• Lead and manage an established global SEO team across multiple regions and time zones.
• Set clear goals, workflows, KPIs, and accountability frameworks for regional SEO leads and specialists.
• Mentor, upskill, and performance-manage team members to ensure consistent global standards.
• Coordinate with external agencies and partners where required.

Global SEO Strategy & Ownership

• Own AHZs global SEO roadmap, aligning organic growth with commercial and marketing objectives.
• Drive international SEO strategy across multi-country, multi-language, and multi-domain properties.
• Define SEO priorities for different regions based on market opportunity, competition, and ROI.
• Ensure scalability and consistency of SEO practices across all markets.

Technical & Enterprise SEO

1. Oversee large-scale technical SEO initiatives including:

• Site architecture and crawlability
• Page speed and Core Web Vitals
• Structured data and schema implementation
• Indexation and rendering issues

2. Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and web development teams to ensure SEO is embedded into releases and site changes.

Content, Authority & Growth

• Work with global and regional content teams to drive search-led content strategies.
• Guide teams on topical authority, content clustering, internal linking, and E-E-A-T best practices.
• Support digital PR and backlink strategies to strengthen domain authority in key markets.

Analytics, Performance & Reporting

• Own SEO performance measurement at a global and regional level.
• Analyse organic traffic, rankings, conversions, and revenue impact using tools such as:

1. Google Analytics (GA4), Google Search Console

2. BrightEdge, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog

• Present clear performance insights, risks, and growth opportunities to senior leadership.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• 68+ years of hands-on SEO experience, with at least 23 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Proven experience managing global or multi-market SEO teams.
• Strong background in international SEO, including multi-language and multi-region implementations.
• Demonstrated ability to translate SEO performance into business impact.

Key Skills & Expertise

• Advanced knowledge of:

1. Search engine algorithms and ranking systems

2. Enterprise and international SEO frameworks

• Strong command of SEO and analytics tools:

1. GA4, GSC, BrightEdge, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Screaming Frog

• Working knowledge of CMS platforms (WordPress, headless CMS, etc.) and SEO-relevant HTML/CSS.
• Data-driven mindset with strong stakeholder communication skills.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with global or enterprise-level brands.
• Prior responsibility for SEO across multiple countries or regions.
• Hands-on experience with hreflang strategy, international site structures, and market-specific optimisation.
• Exposure to AI-driven SEO tools, automation, or generative search optimisation is a strong plus.
