As a Financial Analysis Associate in our Global Banking Planning & Analysis team, you will spend each day defining, refining, and delivering set goals for our firm. You will be an integral member of the team, responsible for reviewing business and financial analytics and reporting prepared for senior members of the Global Banking sub line of business. Your focus will be on simplifying processes, creating analytical capabilities using various tools and technologies such as VBA, Alteryx, Python, QLIK Sense/Tableau, and Ui Path. This role expects you to drive value-add change by helping to simplify processes, accelerate automation, develop dashboards, and enhance analytics and business support.
Job responsibilities :
- Act as an intermediary between the Business and Finance to communicate and develop tools for managing reporting automation and execution framework.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams across the bank to source, wrangle, and synthesize data sets, crafting actionable insights using Alteryx, Essbase/Paragon, Excel, and other analytical tools.
- Conceptualize and manage the development of QLIK Sense/Tableau dashboards that provide the required functionality for all Personas, ranging from C-Suite to F&BM partners.
- Meet regularly with stakeholders, from analysts to senior executives, to understand their goals and any challenges they face in achieving them.
- Assist leadership across Regions and Industries in formulating and prioritizing a roadmap for all analytical and Financial model development.
- Form and leverage a robust understanding of Finance Strategy, Tooling, and Target State Operating model.
- Partner with Business Management and Analytics & Reporting teams to develop insightful reporting, focusing on reporting automations.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Engineering, or related majors
- 8+ years Finance transformation/automation experience
- Understands a Bank’s balance sheet and P&L
- Financial Modelling experience
- Experience working in / with Fortune 100 Financial Services companies required
- Experience with Essbase/Paragon and Big Data technologies
- Expert MS Excel user with VBA knowledge
- Alteryx, Python experience for data transformation and automation
- Tableau/Qlik experience for dashboard and visualization creation
- Strong work ethic; work well in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive and have a sense of urgency, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Data Science knowledge desired
- Self-motivated individual with ability to manage tight deadlines and ever-changing priorities
- Ability to interact with, build relationships with and influence cross-functional partners at all levels
- Comfort interacting (verbally and in writing) and presenting to all levels of management
- Strong attention to detail, creativity, and thinking outside of the box
