About the Job:

We are looking for GIS (Gas Insulated Substation) Commissioning Engineer to join our team to support switchgear division and candidate should have good knowledge of GIS (Gas Insulated Substation) product

Job Profile: GIS Commissioning Engineer

Position: Engineer

Department: Field Service Engineering

Location: Should be Flexible to travel

Job Responsibility:

Responsible for carrying out GIS commissioning works

Should be expertise in handling of testing equipments related to switchgear products

Conduct site commissioning tests as per site test plan and ensure work flow as per FQP

Expertise in performing high voltage test and partial discharge test on GIS

Ensure the commissioning works are completed within a specific time period, agreed with customer

Reporting to immediate senior on daily basis and send site report as on required

Handling of SF6 gas handling equipment and other tools which are required for GIS installation works and control cable termination works

Accessing the risk involved in site in achieving the target dates and mitigate the same

If any non-conformity is noted reporting same to manager for resolution and ensuring works are not getting effected

Maintaining safety at site and conduct daily and weekly tool box meetings

Preparation of punch points or open points for achieving in milestone events and coordinate with site manager/ Project manager to close them

Key Skills Required:

Have minimum experience of 6 projects of commissioning done independently

Have good practical experience of various tools for GIS commissioning works

Expertise in handling of SF6 gas arts and leak detectors

Expertise in testing of switchgear products like Gas Insulated Switchgear, CT, VT and LCP, Relays and meters

Expertise in performing high voltage and partial discharge test on GIS

Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

3 to 6 year Experience in relevant field
