Main Purpose:

Provide application and technical support for geotechnical, geological, drilling, and subsurface software.
Ensure reliable operation, availability, and performance of geotechnical applications supporting clean energy site selection, well planning, cavity development, monitoring, and risk assessment.
Act as a technical interface between clean energy operations, geoscience teams, IT, and software vendors.

Job Accountabilities:

Support and maintain geotechnical and geological software applications, ensuring their optimal performance and availability.
Collaborate with clean energy operations and technical teams to understand and address their application support needs.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to geology, geotechnical analysis, drilling, and subsurface data applications.
Monitor and report on the performance of geotechnical applications, implementing improvements as necessary.
Manage client-server application architecture and licensing mechanisms to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Interface with software vendors to resolve technical issues and implement updates or enhancements.
Utilize diagnostic and performance monitoring tools to maintain application health and performance.

Skills Required:

Strong understanding of geotechnical and geological workflows, preferably in clean energy projects.
Experience supporting technical or engineering software applications.
Knowledge of Windows/Linux environments.
Understanding of client-server application architecture and licensing mechanisms.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with operations and technical teams.
Exposure to databases (Oracle / PostgreSQL / SQL Server).
Basic scripting or automation skills (Python / Shell added advantage).
Familiarity with application logs, diagnostics, and performance monitoring tools.
Understanding of subsurface and geotechnical data formats.

Experience Required:

5-8 years of experience in supporting applications related to geology, geotechnical analysis, drilling, and subsurface data.
Proven track record in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in a timely manner.

Preferred Educational Qualification:

B.tech in IT/CSE or Masters / Postgraduate degree in Geology, Geophysics, Applied Geosciences, or Geotechnical Engineering.
